Detoxing your Hair with Ghee

Ghee is not only a culinary favorite, but it is also packed with numerous beauty benefits. The health quotient of ghee is often under debate, but nobody can disagree that you can improve hair texture and hair growth using ghee. We will look at some of the many benefits of ghee for your hair, and also a few DIY recipes.

Deep Conditions Hair

The scalp can easily absorb ghee since it is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants. Ghee can repair and deeply condition damaged, frizzy and dry hair. It is for this reason some people prefer ghee to store-bought conditioners. Ghee does not have any added chemicals that damage the scalp, and you can make your own conditioner with ghee at home.

Detangling your Hair

Tangles and knots in your hair both hurt and annoy you. What most people do not know is that tangles and knots harm your hair. Does your scalp hurt when you run your comb through tangled hair? Tangles make the hair more brittle, which leads to thinning and breakage. Fortunately, ghee can come to your rescue. Say goodbye to tangled hair, and hello to shiny and knot-free hair.

Say Goodbye to Dandruff

Dandruff is not only embarrassing to deal with, but is also a pest. When your sebaceous glands produce more oil, it leads to an itchy, dry and flaky scalp. If you use ghee on your hair, you no longer have to worry about the white spots on your jacket when you give a presentation in front of your boss or are out on a date. All you need to do is massage your scalp with a mixture of almond oil and ghee twice a month. You will soon see a remarkable difference.

Strengthen your Hair

Do you use a hair straightener or dryer often on your hair? If you do, I am sure you find yourself holding a few strands of that beautiful hair in your palms. To avoid this, use ghee on your hair twice a month. Apply ghee and leave it overnight. Wash the ghee off the following morning with shampoo or onion juice. The process sounds a little smelly, but it is worth the effort.

Repairs Split Ends

Ghee is rich in antioxidants and nutrients, such as Vitamins E, D, A and K2. Since most people do not care too much for their hair, the strands become undernourished leading to split ends. The nutrients in ghee nourish the hair and repair split ends.

Promotes Hair Growth

There are multiple reasons why people have hair loss. Some common reasons are vitamin and mineral deficiencies, stress and undernourished hair. Since ghee is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, conjugated linoleic acid and Omega 9 acids, it works wonders when it comes to treating hair fall. Ghee also contains Vitamins A and E and carotenoids that promote cell growth and fight free radicals. This helps to nourish the scalp, and improve hair growth.

The Extra Shine

If you have used highlighters on your skin, you know how shiny your skin looks. Ghee has the same effect on your hair. If you want shiny and soft hair in a matter of minutes, use ghee on your hair for the extra shine and bounce. All you need to do is heat ghee in a bowl and apply it to your hair. Leave it for twenty minutes before you wash your hair with warm water. You will love the results.

Now that you know the benefits of ghee, I am sure you want to look at some quick recipes you can use to improve the texture of your hair.
